Peck's Lake, Gloversville, NY

Pecks Lake is located in the southern Adirondacks. It's only 30 minutes from the NYS Thruway (Amsterdam exit); really easy to get to! Not far to Saratoga, Lake George, and many other destinations. The lake is one hour from Albany International Airport.

The lake is very quiet. No jetskiis allowed and limitations on the motor size (40 HP). Water skiing and tubing is allowed at certain times of the day in a restricted area. This might seem limiting, but the result is a quiet lake, still great for fishing, boating and swimming.

Pecks Lake was created by combining two ponds, and its water levels are controlled by the power company. It is spring fed, by many sources all around the lake. The lake is a few miles long and a mile wide, with plenty of room to take a boat ride, fish, or just drift along. The water temperature remains pretty cold throughout the year, or should we say refreshing? There are restrictions related to both boat sizes and motors http://www.peckslake.com/ourlake/rules_and_regulations.htm

Take a look at some great views of the lake - and views both of Sunrise Bay, and views from the house. Everything is labeled.

Deeded lake access to Sunrise Bay, for personal use and boating.

The Pecks Lake Protective Association is available to home owners who want to join for a nominal fee, but it is not required.
